Operating principle

Electrostatic precipitators offered by ELENERGY are build of two main parts: collecting chamber and DC-powered high voltage unit. Inside the chamber there are the most important elements of the whole device – collecting and discharge electrodes. Collecting electrodes provide the area for dust setting, while discharge DC-powered electrodes are powered by high-voltage generator. Dust particles charging caused by ions is carried out as a result of an electric corona phenomenon. It appears when the voltage exceeds critical value, which is characteristic for a multiple electrode system. Charged particles suspended in a gas which flows through the electrostatic precipitator’s chamber are moving towards opposite charged collecting electrode. After the collision the electrostatic charge of the particles is given to the electrode and under the influence of gravitational force and mechanical strikes, dust particles are falling down to the dust chamber. They are removed automatically by the screw conveyor.
